You can easily reach Blankenhain from the direction of Weimar by bus on line 114 or 221. Alternatively, you can arrive by car, parking spaces can be found nearby. Go to the outdoor swimming pool "Am Waldbad" and follow the nature adventure trail from there to the Hubertushütte. Arrived on the Goethe adventure trail, you will pass the following stations on your way to Großkochberg: Telescope 1 and 2, Sky Mirror, Love Letters, Heart Swing, Stone Tower. Use the bus stop "Abzweig Großkochberg" to get back to the starting point by bus. Alternatively, not far from the castle you will find a special offer on the Goethe Adventure Trail, the ride-sharing bench. Use the folding signs to indicate the desired direction of travel. A sporty alternative is the Feengrotten-Kyffhäuser-Weg, which you can follow all the way to Rudolstadt. The ZOB and Rudolstadt train station offer you various options for your return journey.
